The City of Newton and the Newton School District are partnering together to reconstruct the six tennis courts at Aurora Park, plus add two new courts. Newton City Administrator Matt Muckler says the estimated cost for this project is $850,000. The City’s share of the funding will come from bond revenue. The Newton City Council will hold a public hearing on the Aurora Park tennis court improvements during their regular meeting on May 19th. The Newton School District is partnering with the city on the project for their use of the courts for practices and home tennis matches.
