Earth Day is one week away, celebrated every April 22nd to honor the achievements of the environmental movement and raise awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations.
The theme for World Earth Day 2025 is “Our Power, Our Planet” which focuses on the importance of transitioning to renewable energy sources and aiming to triple global electricity generation from renewable sources by 2030.
Warren County Conservation Environmental Education Coordinator Kelsey Longnecker tells KNIA News there will be a celebration for Earth Day at the Annett Nature Center with kids and families invited, where kids can discover how you can positively impact our beautiful planet, make and take sustainable crafts, and enjoy the exhibits and trails.
The Earth Day Celebration will be April 22nd from 5-7pm. Find more information below.
