The Simpson baseball team fell to Nebraska Wesleyan in an American Rivers Conference single game contest Tuesday, 1-0 in 11 innings.
The Storm earned just three hits on offense, but fended off any Prairie Wolf offense throughout the first 10 innings, stranding runners on base in eight of the 11 innings with Trey Castile pitching seven scoreless and the Prairie Wolves finally pushing a run across in the 11th. Simpson went on to load the bases in the bottom of the innings, but were unable to get a hit to push a run across. The Storm are now 11-16 on the season, and 5-8 in conference play, and will next play Buena Vista in a three-game series beginning Friday.
