Multiple Indianola spring sports teams are in action today.

The Indianola girls golf team travels to Ankeny today to compete at Otter Creek Golf Course for a 12-team meet featuring some of the top teams in the state. Action starts at 9am.

The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams are both competing. The boys squad travels to Waukee for a 13-team meet today, while the girls will host the Ron Werling Relays at Indianola Stadium featuring Warren County rivals Norwalk and Carlisle among other teams in the metro area. The meets offer one of the last chances for athletes to qualify for the Drake Relays. The boys start at 4pm, the girls at 4:15pm.

Both soccer squads compete in non-conference games this evening on the road. The boys are coming off of a dominating win against Newton with seven different athletes scoring a goal in a shutout, and will try to beat a Wildcats team for the first time in three years.

The girls squad is also coming off of a win over Newton in a strong defensive performance, and face off against a Scarlets team that is off to a 1-4 start to the season. The boys begin at 5pm, the girls at 7pm.
