A Newton Man who allegedly threatened to shoot everyone at a Newton grocery store back in November has pleaded guilty to one of the three charges filed against him. Court records show 50-year-old Severn Paul Rodenberg is to be sentenced May 12th. He pleaded guilty to 1st degree harassment, and aggravated misdemeanor. He was given another 1st degree harassment charge, and a charge of threat of terrorism, a class D felony.

Newton Police say Rodenberg made the shooting threat Sunday, November 10th, while talking to a store manager on the phone. The criminal complaint says he was upset that a family member had just been banned from the store. Newton Police also claim Rodenberg ran from officers when they went to arrest him at his home. He is currently free on a $9,000 bond pending his sentencing.
