The Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens fundraiser with Newton dog “Bing” and trainer Bev Klingensmith from the movie “The Friend”, will be held tomorrow afternoon. Lana Wohlers, Co-President of the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, says Klingensmith will be telling behind the scenes stories related to the shooting of the movie and how “Bing” landed the movie role.

“Bev is super excited about it. She has hundreds and hundreds of pictures behind the scenes of making the movie in New York City. The stories she tells are worth hearing.”

Memorabilia related to the movie will be auctioned off during the fundraiser, which is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Tickets  are $5, and have almost sold out according to Ina Heideman, Vice President and Co-Chair of Programs and Events.
