Five PCM athletic teams were in action on Thursday.

The PCM boys golf team won their meet at Jester Park Golf Course hosted by Des Moines Christian. The Mustangs competed alongside seven other teams in the 18-hole event and shot 319 as a team. PCM senior Jeffrey McDanel was the meet medalist shooting a 74. Other scores below:

The PCM boys golf team will next compete today and tomorrow at Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella. 

The Mustang girls golf team won their triangular hosted by Pleasantville. PCM competed against Pleasantville and Carlisle and shot 194 as a team. Annie Ford was the meet medalist for her first win carding off Gretchen Uitermarkt as they both shot a 46. Other scores below:

The PCM girls golf team will next compete on Monday at Knoxville.

The Mustang soccer team fell in their match against Perry on Thursday 7-0. The PCM soccer team falls to 1-5-1 on the season and will next compete on Monday against Knoxville. 

The PCM boys and girls track and field teams both competed at the Knoxville Panther Relays on Thursday. The Mustang boys finished second out of seven total teams with 143 team points. Top finishers for the PCM boys include the sprint medley team, the shuttle hurdle team, and the distance medley team taking first, Alex Wendt winning the shot put and discus, Riley Graber winning the 200 meter dash, and Coby DeRaad taking second in the 800 meter.

The Mustang girls placed fifth out of eight total teams with 77 team points. Top finishers for the Mustang girls include the shuttle hurdle team, distance medley team and 4X400 meter relay placing third, Ila Keuning taking third in the discus, and Katelynn Fagg placing second in the long jump.
