The Indianola girls 4×400 relay came oh-so-close to white flags and a celebration to cap off a stellar weekend showcase at the 2025 Drake Relays. Indianola’s quartet of Emma White, Kendal Sandy, Madison Grover, and Josie McGraw came into the weekend with the best time in the state and a school record, and were .15 seconds away from keep that mark, narrowly placing 2nd behind Waukee Northwest Saturday afternoon. The time of 3:51.16 is 7th best all-time in the history of Iowa track and field. Despite the heartbreaking finish, the Indians are motivated to find that extra second and then some to set up for a special run in late May to close out state weekend.
