Girls Golf Places 5th At Chariton
Girls golf finished fifth at Chariton in an 18 hole meet with a team total of 474. In very windy conditions, the Panthers were led by Caelie Smith shooting a 94 for 4th place overall. Knoxville heads to Pella for a quad with Albia, and Oskaloosa.

Knoxville Boys Soccer Defeats Newton 3-1, Girls Close But Lose To Chariton
The Knoxville boys soccer squad started the new week off with a win over Newton on Monday night at Randy Wilson Track. The Panthers were able to get on the board first with a Max Magana goal with 25:15 left in the 1st half, then Joseph Finnegan got a score with 10:37 left in half number one to make it 2-0. Newton would score with 4:41 remaining, but Knoxville took back momentum with a Cael Cook score with 1:43 left in the 1st half. Both teams played to a scoreless 2nd half with Knoxville possessing the ball for most of the final ten minutes. Knoxville is now 5-1-3 and will travel to Albia tonight. The girls fell to Chariton 2-1. The Panthers got back in the game on a Payton Kearney penalty kick with 4:19 left in the match, but never got the tying goal. Addi Williams had 14 saves. Knoxville is 0-9 and will host Atlantic on Friday.
