Multiple Indianola spring sports teams were in action Tuesday.

The boys track and field team took home a meet championship at Warren County rival Carlisle, scoring 145 team points. The Indians top finishers included Reed Robbins winning the 3200m, Max Bauer the Discus, Charlie Radosevich the Shot Put, the Shuttle Hurdle, and 4x400m Relay team. Nick Bradley was second in the 100m, Jake Robidoux second in the 3200m, Will Whalen second in the Discus, and the 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x800m relays all placed second. The Indians next compete at Waukee Northwest tomorrow.

The Indianola girls golf team was 4th at Ames, shooting a team score of 387. Indianola was led by Camryn Overton and Alexa Inman each shooting 93, Amelia Moorlach carded a 97, and Reese Lucas a 104. The Indians take a well deserved break and will next compete May 8th at Ottumwa.

The #14 girls soccer squad blanked Oskaloosa at home 8-0. Lauren Burk scored four goals in the contest, Bri Cornell scored twice, and Kodi Helm and Cam Palmer each found the back of the net once. The Indians improve to 6-4 on the season and 2-1 in Little Hawkeye Conference action, and will next play at Des Moines Lincoln tomorrow.

The #7 boys soccer team also blanked Oskaloosa, winning 6-0. Indianola scored on an early broken play on a header, then added another two from Allan Martinez and another from Jacob Chickering to lead 4-0 at halftime. Martinez then scored again in the second half, and another from Van Kauffman to get to the final tally. Indianola is now 7-3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference, and will next play at Johnston tomorrow.

Both the boys and girls tennis teams faltered in heartbreaking fashion to rival Norwalk, both teams falling 6-5.

Wins in singles for the girls included Zoey Belt, Lauren Danielson, and Chloe Chaplin, while the doubles teams of Emily Allen/Belt and Paige Dahl/Chaplin both won, but Indianola lost 4 and 5 doubles in third set tiebreakers to give the Warriors the win. Indianola next competes Friday at Ames.

The Indians boys dominated in singles play, with Bryson Rehmeier, Zach Rothchild, Blake Allen, and Reid Jackson all winning, but could only come up with a win in doubles from Rehmeier/Eli Chadwick as the Warriors took the win. Indianola will next compete in the conference tournament a week from today.
