Girls Tennis Dominates Albia, Boys Rained Out
Girls tennis kept up its domination of the South Central Conference team with a 7-2 win over Albia on Thursday. The Panthers took five of six singles matches with Janie Maasdam, Marlea Cox, Bridgette Liston, Jordyn Counts, and Ashlynne Marvelli all recorded wins. Knoxville clinched the match by winning two of the three doubles matches. The boys had just got underway in their meet with Albia when a rain cloud parked itself over the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts and dropped a steady rain for about ten minutes. That and the threat for more rain chased everyone away. The boys come back to host Grinnell in a makeup match today at home while the girls will prepare for the conference meet Tuesday which will be played in Knoxville.
Girls Soccer Falls To West Central Valley
Knoxville Girls Soccer fell to West Central Valley 10-0. The Panthers now drop to 0-10 and will host Atlantic tonight as part of a double header with the boys who play Bondurant-Farrar at Randy Wilson Track. The boys play at 5:30 while the girls will start at 7:30.
