The Melcher-Dallas Girls Track and Field Squad placed third at the Clarke Invitational on Thursday. The Saints had four 1st place performances with Trista Hansaker winning the 100 and 200 events. The Saints also got a 1st place finish in the 4×100 with Lotty Nolte, Lily Schneider, Gabby Overgaard, and Hansaker in a time of :57.10 while the 4×800 team placed first with Ashlyn Stegman Kinley Bennett, Kesley Reed, and Kamila Tazabekova in a time of 12:57.66. Overgaard also placed 2nd in the discus with Amber Addington runner-up in the 3000. The boys meanwhile finished 6th at the PCM Invitational. The top finish was the distance medley relay team of Tucker Branson, Connor Goff, Reece Chiabotta, and Colton Cox placing 6th with a time of 5:00.12. Both teams will head to the Bluegrass Conference meet at Graceland University in Lamoni on Tuesday.
