Four Pleasantville athletic teams were in action on Thursday.

The Trojan boys golf team competed at a meet in Winterset hosted by Van Meter where they shot 168 as a team to place second. Caylor Jones had the low score for Pleasantville shooting a 41. Other scores below:

The Trojan boys will be back in action today at home for a triangular featuring Carlisle and Melcher-Dallas.

The Trojan girls golf team did not record a team score at their home triangular as they competed against Carlisle and North Polk. Emily Roe has the low score for Pleasantville shooting a 102 to finish as the meet runner up in the 18-hole event. Other scores:

The Trojan girls will next compete on Monday at their conference meet at Woodward Golf Club.

The Pleasantville girls and boys track and field teams were in action on Thursday as the girls competed at Carlisle and the boys were at PCM. The Trojan girls finished eighth with 40 team points competing alongside eight other teams. Top finishers for the Pleasantville girls include the sprint medley team of Lily Mason, Carly Gripp, Lauren Furnal, and Kyleigh McConnell placing fourth to set a new school record with a time of 1:55.24, the shuttle hurdle team taking second and lowering the school record time to 1:09.33, and Lauren Furnal taking third in the 100 hurdles. The Trojan boys placed third with 94 team points competing alongside six other teams. Top finishers for the Pleasantville boys include Ethan King winning the 100 meter and placing second in the 200 meter, William Mesecher placing first and Nathanial Oliver taking second in the discus, and the 4X100 meter relay, the 4X200 meter relay and distance medley all placing first. The Pleasantville girls and boys track and field teams will next compete on Tuesday at Des Moines Christian for the West Central Conference Meet.
