The final phase of window replacement at Newton’s City Hall and Public Safety Building is moving forward. The building is over 30 years old, and city staff recommended replacing the original windows and doors to improve energy efficiency. The Newton City Council has just awarded the contract for replacement of the remaining original windows, which are on the west side of the Police Department area. Hamilton Glass of Newton has been awarded the contract for $10,508. The work will be paid for with city bond revenue.
