The Knoxville Public Library is holding an overdose prevention and Narcan training on Thursday, May 8th.
This training is sponsored by Employee and Family Resources and will start at 6:30 pm. Knoxville Public Library Director Ashley Miller said this is aimed to get awareness out there as the country is in an opioid crisis.
“EFR is going to come in and do overdose prevention and talk about how Narcan can be used to save lives as the country is in an increasingly high opioid crisis. It’s good to get awareness out there. We are having them come in and talk to us. Anyone can come in, it’s free training, and you can learn how to save lives potentially.”
The Knoxville Public Library is located at 213 E Montgomery St.
