A Newton woman has claimed the grand prize in the Iowa Lottery’s “PAC-MAN Second Chance” promotion. Kelly Mowery says she was flabbergasted to learn she’d won $25,000 and a PAC-MAN standing arcade game with accessories. The Iowa Lottery says Mowery’s winnings total $39,108. The 52 year old nurse says she is still deciding how she’ll spend the $25,000. She adds she’s been a PAC-MAN fan her whole life. She started playing the game at the arcade in the former mall in Newton.
Mowery won the Iowa Lottery prize by entering a nonwinning PAC-MAN scratch ticket through the Iowa Lottery VIP Club. She purchased her winning ticket at the 1018 First Avenue East Casey’s store in Newton. The Iowa Lottery says the PAC-MAN promotion received more than 100,000 entries, and ten other people won prizes of $15,000.
