Melcher-Dallas heads to the Bluegrass Conference Track and Field Meet tonight in Lamoni. The girls have goals of getting several 1st place finishes including Trista Hasaker, who is #1 seed in both the 100 and 200 races. Coach Amy Stuart tells KNIA Sports that while it will be tough to equal the numbers of favorite Ankeny Christian, it is not out of the question to finish in the top three knowing Moravia has been a force.

Stuart: “They’ve been slightly ahead of us, which has been the case, and we’re slightly ahead of them when we don’t load for a meet. So I think it’ll be Ankeny Christian, Moravia, and us for the top three.”

The field events are set to start at 4:30 with the track events getting started at 5:00.
