Three Pleasantville varsity athletic teams were in action on Tuesday.

The Trojan boys golf team finished fourth at the West Central Conference meet held at Lake Panorama National Golf Course. The Trojans finished with a team score of 324 as they competed against ten other teams. The low score for Pleasantville was Caylor Jones who shot a 75 to finish as runner-up. The Pleasantville boys golf team will be back in action on Thursday at Colfax-Mingo.

The Pleasantville boys and girls track and field teams competed at the West Central Conference meet hosted by Des Moines Christian. The boys finished fifth with a team score of 61 while the girls finished ninth with a team score of 43. 

Top finishers for the boys team include Ethan King winning the 100 meter and 200 meter, Braylon Bingham winning the high jump, the 4X200 meter relay placing first and the 4X100 meter relay placing second. Top finishers for the girls were 4X100 meter relay, shuttle hurdle relay and the 4X800 meter relay placing third. Complete boys and girls results can be found here. 

The Pleasantville track and field teams will be back in action on Friday at Newton.
