The night belonged to Indianola in the 2025 Little Hawkeye Conference girls track and field competition at DCG on Thursday, as the group dominated its way to a team conference championship. The Indians scored 177 team points and cleared Pella by 58 points in the team standings to claim the overall trophy and showcase the team’s impressive depth across all of the events on the track and in the field. They also led the charge in a night when close to a dozen conference records fell.

Indianola claimed six total individual titles on the way to the first place team finish, including:
100 Meter Hurdles – Josie McGraw (14.28)
400 Meter Hurdles – Josie McGraw (1:03.56)
Discus – Abbie Kluver (124-11)
Shot Put – Sam Gripp (41-9.75)
Shuttle Hurdle Relay – S. Downey, M. Grover, L. Hoger, J. McGraw (1:01.78)
4×400 Relay – 4:00.15 (no names available on online results)

Pella’s girls put together a strong 2nd place effort, and did so without winning in a single event. Runner-up finishes for Pella included:

4×800 Relay – 2nd place – R. Snieder, C. Altwine, B. Paulsen, E. VandeVoort (9:45.06)
Discus – 2nd place – Ireland Bishop (124-10)

Pella Christian flexed its muscle among the sprinting events to earn a 4th place team finish. The Eagles also claimed multiple school records, including in the sprint medley and 4×100 Meter Relays. Individual and relay conference champions for P.C. included:

Newton’s girls placed 5th as a team, and included runner-up finishes in the 100 Meters, with Lauren Clarke running 12.43, and in the 4×200 relay (C. Klein, L. Rivera, A. Bruce, L. Clarke), who put together a season-best 1:45.05.

Norwalk’s Elle Hatlevig came away with the Little Hawkeye Conference high jump title, clearing the bar at 5-4. The shuttle hurdle relay group for the Warriors also placed 2nd in a time of 1:07.93 ( L. Crick, K. Stoulil, A. Carlson, E. Johnson). Norwalk was the 6th place team in the overall standings.
