The Norwalk boys soccer team suffered another tough one-goal defeat on Friday night, falling to Class 4A fifth-ranked Dowling Catholic, 3-2, at Mineart Field. The Warriors, who are ranked fourth in Class 3A, erased a 2-0 deficit before allowing the winning goal late in the match.

Hudson Ford and Tavin Ferner scored the goals for Norwalk. Ferner and Teegan Kralik had the assists and Jacoby Robbins made three keeper saves. Both teams attempted six shots on goal.

The Warriors’ overall record now stands at 6-6-2 on the season. All six losses have been decided by one goal against state-ranked teams in Class 4A or 3A. Dowling improved to 10-4-1. Norwalk will host North Polk on Monday at 5:30.
