The Pella boys golfers placed 3rd in a tournament hosted by Clear Lake in Mason City on Friday. The Dutch shot a 304 overall, placing four behind meet champions from Rosemount, Minnesota. KJ Besick (73 – 3rd) and Cole Floden (75 – 5th) received meet medals, and Gabe Smith (76) and Griffin Simpson (80) rounded out the card for Pella. The Dutch begin the postseason this coming week, with the Little Hawkeye Conference final match taking place Monday at Newton before Wednesday’s IHSAA sectional in Knoxville.
