The Norwalk girls tennis team opens postseason play on Monday morning while three more Warrior spring sports teams will continue with regular season competition.

Girls Tennis hosts 2A Regional

State meet bids will be on the line when Norwalk hosts a Class 2A Girls Tennis Regional Singles and Doubles Tournament at 9:00 a.m. The Region 7 meet also includes Des Moines Roosevelt, Dowling Catholic, Indianola, Southeast Polk and Waukee. The top two place-winners in both singles and doubles will advance to the Class 2A State Meet set for May 30-31 in Iowa City.

Girls Golf at LHC Meet

The Norwalk girls golf team is looking for a Little Hawkeye Conference sweep in the third and final LHC Meet of the season at Oskaloosa. Tee time is 10:00 a.m. at Edmundson Golf Course. The Warriors won the first two conference meets of the season held at Beaver Creek in Grimes and the Westwood Golf Course in Newton.

Boys Track at Pella

The Norwalk boys track and field team travels to Pella for the Dutch Coed Relays at 4:30. This marks the Warriors’ final tune-up for Thursday’s Class 4A State Qualifying Meet at Mason City.

Boys Soccer hosting North Polk

The Norwalk boys soccer team will host North Polk for a non-conference match at 5:30. The Class 4A third-ranked Warriors are 6-6-2 overall. The Comets enter the week at 7-2-2.
