Tasker Philips has felt like he has been the nail for the better part of the 2025 season at the Knoxville Raceway. He has crashed in both the 410 and 360 and Saturday his 410 blew a motor to start the night. But it ended with his 360 parked in victory lane after dueling with Clint Garner for much of the A-Main until finally pulling away in the closing laps for his first win at Knoxville in 2025. Phillips tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it was finally good to get some positive results.
Phillps: “It’s been a trying year and been a hammer and nails year, and I was tired of being the nail. I’m glad my guys are behind me. I’ve asked them if I need to dial it down, and they said we’re here to win.”
In the Pro Sprints, J Kinder benefitted from a restart halfway through the race and got around last week’s winner Brett Moffitt. The field was bunched for a final restart in the closing laps but Kinder was able to pull away. Brian Brown dominated the 410 feature and while the race was slowed by a few cautions, he never was threatened. Next Saturday is another weekly show with the 410s, 360s ,and Pro Sprints.
