The Pella School Board began the process of searching for a new superintendent at their meeting Monday evening. An agenda item included developing selection criteria for a search firm to replace the retiring Greg Ebeling, who has one year remaining before departing the district. Other agenda items that were approved included a 2024-25 budget amendment, an agreement for health occupation and CNA programming, renewal of the Leader in Me contract, the pay schedule for miscellaneous roles in the district, a free breakfast proposal for the upcoming academic year, and shade quotes for the Little Dutch Academy. The board discussed some bussing changes for the upcoming academic year as well, and the primary change is eliminating the option for students to have multiple drop-off options.
