The Pella boys soccer team found victory on the road at Newton on Tuesday in a 2-0 matchup. The Dutch scored twice in the second half, which included a Tyson Barnes header off of a deep throw-in during the 51st minute, and a knock off by Caleb Kalkwarf from a corner kick in the 76th minute. Pella snapped a seven-match streak without a win to move to 6-6-4 overall. They head to Knoxville on Friday to wrap up the regular season.

The Dutch girls soccer team was physically unharmed but involved in a multi-vehicle crash while riding a bus to the scheduled game with the Cardinals. The match was postponed and no members of the Pella roster were harmed.

In action today, the Pella boys tennis team will host a Class 1A District site for the State Singles and Doubles Qualifier, starting at 9:00 this morning. Pella’s boys golfers head to Knoxville for the Class 3A sectional meet.
