The Pella Christian boys tennis and boys golf teams will make short road trips today to kick off postseason action. 

The Eagles boys tennis squad will venture across Lake Red Rock this morning to compete in the Class 1A District Individual Tournament at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts in Knoxville. Joining the Pella Christian athletes on Panther Drive is the hosts, #2 Cedar Rapids Xavier, Albia, Centerville, Chariton, Clarke, and Creston. During the regular season, the Eagles squared with just Centerville and Chariton in duals and also faced Knoxville and Albia in a weekend tournament, and swept all of their matches against the athletes from those teams.

Making the short trip up Highway 163, the Pella Christian boys golf team begins their postseason journey with the Class 2A Sectional Meet hosted by PCM at Gateway Recreation Golf Course in Monroe. Joining the Class 2A #3 Eagles at the sectional meet is #5 PCM, #11 West Branch, #20 Mid Prairie, #21 Iowa City Regina, Durant, North Mahaska, and Wilton. The top 3 finishing teams at today’s meet will advance to the District Meet on Monday.

The Class 1A District Individual Tennis Tournament at Knoxville begins at 9 am, while the Class 2A Sectional Golf Meet in Monroe is slated to start at 10 am.
