Simpson junior Megan Heidelbauer was named the American Rivers Conference Softball Position Player of the Year as announced earlier this week, one of many Storm softball athletes to earn honors from the conference.

Four Simpson athletes were named to the All ARC First Team, including Heidelbauer, Ashlyn Steen, Lexi Ehlers, and Kate Kreigel, while another four were named to the ARC Second Team, including Emma Lafave, Mackenzie James, Caelynn Obleton, and Katie Shaner. Head coach Brent Matthias and his staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors, helping lead Simpson to an American Rivers Conference title, going 11-5 in the conference season.
