The Simpson Storm softball team takes on DePauw in the first round of NCAA Regionals today, traveling to Winona, Minnesota for a double elimination format hosted by St. Mary’s University.

Simpson ended the season with a shared American Rivers Conference regular season title, but a disappointing finish with a loss in the semifinals in the American Rivers Conference tournament leading to an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. Simpson is top 10 in the country in multiple offensive categories including home runs and RBI’s per game, but will have to jump their scoring average over their last several games, scoring just over three runs per game in three of their last four contests, all losses.

All games of the Storm NCAA Regionals will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Tyler Crabb on the call. Today’s broadcast begins at 1:15pm, with first pitch scheduled for 1:30pm.
