Nine young women will be competing next month to be the next Jasper County Fair Queen. Contestant applications were due this week. The 2025 Queen will be crowned on Saturday, June 14th at the Newton Community Theatre in the Newton YMCA. The contestants will be Lindy Bokhoven, Piper Clark, Rylee DeHaai, Heather Hanson, Lexi Kephart, Ella Machin, Avery Meyer, Gretchen Uitermarkt, and last year’s Jasper County Fair Princess Meredith Chipps. Chipps, who is from Monroe, and 2024 Jasper County Fair Queen Libbie Keith of Newton were among six queen contestants last year. 

The 2025 Jasper County Fair will be held in Colfax Friday, July 18th through Thursday, July 24th. The theme for this year’s 170th annual fair is “Candles, Critters and Cake, Let’s Celebrate 170 Years.”
