A Knoxville Man has been arrested this week for felony theft that allegedly occurred late last year.
According to court records, on December 14th at approximately 5:45 pm a Knoxville Police Officer spoke with a victim at a residence in Knoxville and the victim stated that she cooked a meal for 35-year-old Mark Tollenaar and then went and laid down in bed. The victim then heard the sound of her kickstand on her ebike being manipulated and soon discovered it was missing from one of her apartment bedrooms. Two witnesses advised that they saw Tollenaar take the ebike and leave the apartment building. The officer spoke to a family member at Tollenaar’s address and the witness advised that they had recently seen Tollenaar with a black ebike at the residence. The victim provided proof of purchase of the bike from June of 2024, which showed the value of the bike was $1600.
Tollenaar is charged with Theft Second Degree, a Class D Felony.
