Two work contracts related to the new clubhouse at Westwood Golf Course in Newton have been completed for under $34,000. Newton City Administrator Matt Muckler says Crossroads Pipe & Grading Incorporated in Monroe installed a gravel cart path parking pad, completed outside drainage work, and did additional grading to improve the view of the golf course from the clubhouse. The work began late last month. Muckler says the final bill totaled $22,643.

The other work contract that’s been completed included adding a five foot ADA complaint sidewalk to the entrance of the clubhouse and reconnecting the cart path to the first tee. Muckler says Jerry Keenan Concrete of Newton completed that work for $10,958.
