Three Severe Thunderstorm Warnings impacted Warren and Jasper Counties Monday evening. Those prompted live on-air coverage on KNIA/KRLS from 4:20 to 5:15 p.m., and brought multiple reports of small hail in Warren County in particular.
As the severe weather started the evening, multiple rounds of rainfall and thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall to the area, including 2.46 inches of precipitation near Knoxville, 2.3 inches at Lake Red Rock, and 2.83 inches near Norwalk.
Precipitation chances will continue to taper off today and give way to a cooler week in general, with highs in the 50s expected by Wednesday and slightly warmer conditions to follow, according to the National Weather Service.
