Two Knoxville teams saw their respective seasons come to an end on Tuesday.

The Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad fell to Boone in the class 1A team regional in Waterloo on Tuesday 5-2. The Toreadors got up 3-0 by winning at number one, two and three singles, but the Panthers did not go away quietly, winning at four and five singles before losing at #6. That forced the match into doubles where Boone ended the match winning at #2 singles. Getting victories for the Panthers were Bridgette Liston at #4 singles and Addy Dunkin winning at #5. While the team season is over for Knoxville, doubles players Janie Maasdam and Marlea Cox will continue in the State Individual returning to Byrnes Park next Friday and Saturday. Their opponents have yet to be determined.

The girls soccer squad’s season wrapped up in the first round of the class 1A regional on Tuesday to Chariton 3-0. The Chargers scored two goals in the 1st half to take control and added one more in the 2nd half. The Panthers finish the season 1-14.
