
The Knoxville Baseball Squad opened the 2025 season with a 7-5 loss to Ballard on Wednesday. The Panthers struck for four runs in the 2nd inning on a combination of fielding errors and timely base running to jump on top 4-0. The Bombers responded with five in the top of the 3rd when Knoxville struggled to get outs. Kyler Gifford got two hits and two RBI and Lincoln Norris also collected two hits. Knoxville also had bases loaded in the 7th but only got one run home. Roston McCarty took the loss going 2.2 innings striking out four. Knoxville is 0-1 and will host Oskaloosa tonight in a varsity double header.
