Ryan Timms is quickly finding out that half mile dirt tracks are to his liking. For the 2nd time this season, he won a race at the Knoxville Raceway leading all 20 laps in the 410 show on Saturday as heard live on KNIA. Timms had to survive several restarts and red flag periods plus multiple challenges by Austin McCarl, but Timms was up to the challenge. In the 360s, Tyler Groenendyk has been trying for a few years to win a 360 feature, and finally on Saturday he did that by putting himself up front early and never giving up the lead. Groenendyk told KNIA/KRLS Sports this win was long overdue.

Groenendyk: “We’ve been trying to do this for so long. We had a good thing in the pro sprint deal, and just haven’t been able to put it together.”

Devon Kline won the Pro Sprints feature also surviving a few restarts along the way. Next week is the Avanti Windows and Doors Cornbelt Clash with the USAC National Sprint Cars.
