A Knoxville senior did all he could to bring home gold, pushing himself to a 2nd place finish at Drake Stadium Saturday. Koby Higginbotham was runner-up in the 110 Meter Hurdles, capping a weekend in which he also placed 3rd in the 400 Meter Hurdles on Friday. Higginbotham would have had the state meet record, had Clear Creek-Amana’s Tay Seals not surged ahead at 13.58 seconds to Koby’s 13.77 race. Higginbotham’s run is the 44th best in the entire country. The Panthers finished the 2025 state meet with 18 team points.
