The Pella School Board will have an update about the district’s electronic device policy at Tuesday’s meeting. The board will hold discussion following regular business about where the current rules stand and what changes they could make following a state law passed this past Legislative Session adding restrictions to device use. First, the Pella School Board will interview two search firms related to the superintendent replacement process at the beginning of the session. Grundmeyer Leader Services and McPherson & Jacobson will both make proposals to the board and have an hour each to answer questions starting at 5:30. Following those interviews, the board will enter regular business at 7:30 p.m., which includes shade quotes for the Little Dutch Academy, consideration of the 2025-26 Leader in Me contract, contract completion for DeVries Electric and Rapids Food Service at the Jefferson-Middle School connector and with Graphic Construction for the stadium project, an agreement with Knoxville for the homeschool assistance program, and a contract for the transfer for special education funds to the Area Education Agency. The board will also review and consider a proposal from the Pella Athletic Booster Club to renovate the high school weight room. The board will hear reports from district administrators before deciding on which firm to choose for the superintendent replacement search firm. Tuesday’s Pella School Board meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Pella High School Library. Click here for the full agenda.
