Melcher-Dallas Summer kids are in action tonight as the Saints will travel to Moulton-Udell. The Softball Squad is coming off a rebuilding season going 8-23, but returns nearly the entire roster that had ten freshmen or eighth graders. The Baseball Squad started off last Tuesday with a 14-4 loss to Colo-NESCO in its opener. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports knows his team will need to be ready to field the ball and hopes to cut down on errors that cost his team several times last year.

Ferguson: “We know teams are going to put the ball in play, so we’ve been working hard on fielding those ground balls, fly balls, and routine plays. We know our pitchers don’t throw really hard so we’re going to have to be ready on every pitch.”

Baseball is scheduled to start at 5:30 with softball at 7:30.
