Nominations are now being accepted for the Grand Marshal of this year’s 4th of July parade in Newton.

The Greater Newton Area Chamber of Chamber of Commerce puts on the parade every year, and asks for the community’s help in identifying parade Grand Marshal candidates. KayLea Marchant, the Executive Director of the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, says they look for individuals who go above and beyond for the community, and embody the spirit of community, service, and hometown pride. Grand Marshall nominations can be mailed to the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce office at 403 West 4th Street North, or you can submit your nomination below.

Newton’s 4th of July parade is held in the morning, and typically more than 100 entries travel the nearly mile long downtown route. The parade is then followed by activities and fireworks at Agnes Patterson Park.
