This Friday night will be the opening of the musical “My Fair Lady” at the Newton Community Theatre. Rachel Faidley has been involved with the theatre since 2008, and is the music director for the play. She says the cast of about 35 and the 15 piece orchestra have been preparing for this weekend’s opening since the beginning of March.
“The orchestra rehearsed once a week until the beginning of May, then they joined the cast. The cast has rehearsed four evenings a week since about the second or third week of March.
“My Fair Lady” is a musical about a flower girl in London who takes speech lessons from a professor, so she can pass as a lady.
