Bishara Continues Into Day Two at 3A State Golf
Pella’s state qualifying golfer is in a tie for 49th after day one of the 2025 Class 3A state golf tournament. Rozenboom, Shaffer Wrap Up Individual State Tournament Appearances on Day One
Pella sent two singles players to the 2025 state individual tennis tournament on Tuesday, with both having their bids end in the first few rounds. Nile Rozenboom won his first match 6-1, 6-4 over Leif Lundberg of Clear Lake before falling 6-1, 6-0 to No. 1 seed Ethan Moon of North Polk in the quarterfinals. He would go on to fall in a third-set tiebreaker to Decorah’s Keaton Nelean-Carlson (7-6, 4-6, 0-1 (6)) in the consolation bracket. Jordan Shaffer lost to No. 2 seed Charlie LeGrand of Xavier in the opener 6-0, 6-0 and dropped his consolation match to Noah Narmi of St. Albert, Council Bluffs by a 6-3, 6-1 margin.

Pella Boys Soccer Wins Overtime Thriller in Boone to Advance to 3A Substate Final
The Pella boys soccer team was pushed into overtime in the Class 3A substate semifinals on Tuesday, and ultimately came up victorious in Boone. The Dutch defeated the Torreadors 2-1 to advance to the final 16. Tyson Barnes scored for Pella in regulation and Caleb Kalkwarf found the golden goal in extra time. Pella improved its record to 7-7-4 and travels to No. 4 in 3A Urbandale for the right to go to the state tournament on Thursday.
