A bid from Manatt’s for concrete work on a bridge under construction in northwest Jasper County was approved this week by the Jasper County Board of Supervisors. Jasper County Engineer Mike Frietsch says the local construction company will pour the deck for a new 120’ foot bridge over Clear Creek on North 107th Avenue West, south of the Harvester Golf Course and Crab Tree Lake.
“We got one bidder, Manatt’s. We are looking at $14,850. That was their total bid for the concrete we need for the deck there. Our engineer’s estimate was $15,750. So they were underneath our estimate a little bit.”
According to Frietsch, workers are about to set the beams for this new bridge. He expects the deck will be poured in the next couple of weeks.
