Alter Metal Recycling donated just over $8400 to the Pella Athletic Booster Club on Friday through a program they provide. Jason Woods with Alter says the proceeds came from recycling appliances donated by businesses, farmers, and other community members. Preston Rhamy with the Pella Athletic Boosters says multiple donors, including Alter, donate thousands of dollars each year to support projects that benefit Pella Dutch athletes, including an upcoming renovation to the Pella High School weight room. Activities Director Matt Fouch says that will not just benefit student athletes, but hundreds of participants in physical education classes throughout the school year.
