It will be a Warren County rivalry showdown in the opening round of the class 3A boys state soccer tournament, as the Indianola Indians face off with Norwalk at Norwalk High School. The Indians fell to Norwalk in a 4-3 thriller on the same field in mid-May, and will attempt to beat a Warriors team they haven’t defeated since 2011, losing the last 13. Indianola will rely on balanced scoring led by Allan Martinez with 19 goals, seventh in class 3A, but have four other athletes with six goals or more on the season. The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Mike Oeffner on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 6:45pm, with kickoff at 7pm.
