The Pella Christian and Norwalk summer sports teams square off on Eagle Lane Monday night for a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader.

On the baseball diamond, the Eagles are looking to get back into the win column, after falling to 1-4 overall on the season with a 8-4 road loss at Newton on Friday night. The Warriors baseball team will look to get above .500 on the summer, after they defeated Gilbert 2-0 Saturday to improve their record to 3-4. Norwalk has dominated the baseball series between the two teams in recent matchups, winning 13 of the 15 games between the two teams since 2019. 

On the softball diamond, the Warriors will look to remain unbeaten to start the summer, while the Eagles are hoping to pull off the upset for their first win of the season. Norwalk has opened the year 4-0, picking up wins over Interstate 35, Newton, and Southeast Polk. Meanwhile, the Pella Christian softball team is 0-4 to start the season, having dropped their contests against Dallas Center-Grimes, Clarke, and Newton. The Warriors softball squad has also dominated the series against the Eagles in recent years, winning 17 of the last 18 games since 2018.

The Pella Christian and Norwalk baseball doubleheader Monday night begins at 5 pm and game two can be heard live on the KRLS2 stream at approximately 6:45 pm. The Eagles and Warriors softball twinbill is scheduled to start at 5:30 pm and game two can be heard live on the KNIA3 stream at approximately 6:45 pm.
