In less than two weeks, the City of Newton and Iowa Speedway will host WHO Radio’s 28th Annual Great Iowa Tractor Ride. The three day event every June features up to 500 tractors of all makes and models that are owned by residents of Iowa and other States. To date, the event’s website shows at least 38 Jasper County residents have signed up to participate. Riders sign in Sunday June 15th, while the ride itself is Monday through Wednesday June 16th through the 18th. Each day the tractors and their drivers will travel different scenic routes through Jasper and neighboring counties.
Last year’s tractor ride was held in Boone at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
