The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams swept West Central Conference doubleheaders on the road at Ogden Thursday night.

The Pleasantville softball team took game one 11-8 and picked up a commanding game two win 11-3 in five innings. In game one, Lainey Kennedy got the win on the mound and Harper McGraw and Lilian Mason both had three hits as Mason had two doubles and three RBI while McGraw had a double and three RBI as well. 

In game two, Kally Wysong started the game on the mound and got her first varsity win. Coach Alee Phillips says that Wysong did a great job and confidence will come the more she is in the circle. Phillips adds that defensively her team played much better in game two and their bats stayed just as hot. Offensively in game two Harper McGraw and Taylor Perkins both had three hit games. The Trojan softball team improves to 4-2 on the season and will next compete on Saturday at a home tournament. Pleasantville will start the day against Lynnville-Sully at 9:00 am. 

The #2 ranked Trojan baseball team secured a lopsided 13-2 victory in game one and a 5-2 win in game two. In game one, Brayden Kennedy pitched five innings giving up two hits while recording seven strikeouts. Logan Roff, JJ Phillips, Easton Cox, and Noah Rist all had multiple hits in the contest.

In game two, Caylor Jones pitched six innings and gave up three hits, two runs while recording nine strikeouts. Stanton Major then came into the game to pick up the save. Braylon Bingham had three hits in game two while JJ Phillips and Easton Cox both had two. The Trojan baseball team improves to 8-0 on the season and will next compete on Saturday at Coon Rapids-Bayard.
