The PCM softball team shut out Roland-Story Friday night as the baseball team came up short in Heart of Iowa Conference matchups. 

The #4 ranked Mustang softball team defeated the Norseman 11-0 in four innings. Rylee Parsons got the win on the mound throwing all four innings and gave up three hits, no runs, and recorded two strikeouts. Tori Lindsay went 2-2 at the plate with two runs, and two stolen bases while Addison Steenhoek, Lilian Humpal, Hadley Millang and Kyra Naeve all went 2-3 in the contest. The PCM softball team improves to 7-1 on the season and will be back in action on Monday against Pleasantville.

The Mustang baseball team fell in their contest 3-0. PCM had the tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh inning but weren’t able to capitalize. Trenner Van Dyke pitched 5 ⅔ innings giving up three hits, one earned run and had three strikeouts while Carson Hansen pitched 1 ⅓ innings allowing one hit and had two strikeouts. Offensively Trigg Steenhoek went 1-3 at the plate with a double and Konnor Bell went 1-1. The Mustang falls to 2-5 on the season and will next compete on Tuesday against Perry.
