Newton’s Iowa Speedway is a month away from hosting the first of two race weekends. The INDYCAR Series will be at the track July 11th, 12th, and 13th, while NASCAR returns for XFinity and Cup Series races August 2nd and 3rd. There will be no big name concerts accompanying the races this year. But Iowa Speedway President Eric Peterson says his staff has worked to fill that void.

 “We have had a really heavy emphasis in the off season of adding more fan amenities at the track. So if we look at things like the Fanwalk, and the concert series we are hosting, just amplifying the experience for folks coming out for the entire day”

Peterson notes there is a pre-race concert by Country Music’s Corey Hart before the August 3rd NASCAR Cup race. For tickets and other race information go to iowaspeedway.com
