The Knoxville Boys and Girls of Summer head to Osceola on Monday for South Central Conference meetings. The baseball squad will head to Clarke for a varsity double header after winning the last two SCC games to improve to 3-2 on the season and even up at 5-5 overall. This past week, Knoxville went 3-0 and Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS this week is a difficult week but he hopes to win the week.
Devore: “You have to win in baseball, and you’re not going to win them all. We swept a lot of weeks a couple years ago, but that’s rare. You have to win weeks just like you have to win a series in MLB and college to have a good team.”
Meanwhile, the softball squad, still looking for their first win will battle a Clarke team who is 3-4 on the season. Live coverage of game two of the baseball double header will be at around seven on 95.3 KNIA.
